The Tomorrowverse, officially designated as Earth-1, is a shared universe of animated films and shorts based on DC Comics stories, beginning with DC Showcase: Adam Strange and ending with Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part Three. History

Early History

The planet Krypton explodes, and Jor-El sends his young son Kal-El away in a rocket, which carries him to Smallville on Earth. Discovered by Jonathan and Martha Kent, they take him and names him Clark Kent, teaching him where and when he should use his powers, paving the way for him to become Superman (after a fight with Lobo and Parasite on Metropolis).[1]

In Gotham CityThomas and Martha Wayne are murdered in a mugging gone wrong before their son, Bruce Wayne, who vows to avenge their deaths, beginning his journey to become Batman.[2]

The Justice League

At some point, six vigilantes created a team of heroes called the Justice League, to protect Earth from new threats. This Justice League's iteration consists of BatmanThe FlashSupermanVixenGreen Arrow and Martian Manhunter; in response to the attack of the android A.M.A.Z.O., created by Professor Ivo. It turns out that Lex Luthor had brainwashed A.M.A.Z.O. making him believe that he was created to prolong human life, but when A.M.A.Z.O. drained the life of the dying creator from him, he realized that he was going against his programming, rebelled against Luthor and defeated him. After that, the Justice League established itself as Earth's defending team of heroes, and the team was later joined by Hal Jordan and Wonder Woman.

John Stewart was selected by Ganthet's power ring to become the new Green Lantern of Sector 2814 after Hal Jordan was infected by Parallax.[3]

While helping Superman stop Brainiac, the Flash accidentally traveled to Earth-2, a alternate world where World War II still rages, but the speedster eventually made it back with the help of the Justice Society of America.[4]

At some point, the Kryptonian Kara Zor-El also arrived on Earth, but years after her cousin Kal-El. She eventually became the superheroine Supergirl, but was having difficulty adapting to Earth, so Kal sent her to the 31st Century, where she could better adapt and become a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes.[5]
