Holding a scrapbook kept by Iris Allen in his hands, Wally West thinks back on how he got his speed powers to become the Flash. Young Wally had been struck by lightning and came in contact with electrified chemicals - the same that had happened to Barry Allen a long time ago.

At first it looked like the accident had no lasting effects on Wally, but then him and Barry made some tests in a nearby park and the results were clear: Wally had become the fastest kid alive! And being with Barry Allen it did not take long for Wally to get involved in crime-fighting. In a tangle with some robbers Wally handled everything pretty good, so Barry decided to give the kid his own costume and a special ring to store it. Thus, Kid Flash was born ...
