Synopsis for Marvel Family: "The World's Wickedest Plan"
Captain Marvel stops some thieves fleeing the police and surmises that they may be working for Dr. Sivana. The adoring public asks where he has been for the past 20 years but he says that he doesn't have time to tell them and must investigate this crime. He reflects on the last case the Marvel Family had: Doctor Sivana used Suspendium to trap the Marvel Family and their friends in a force field bubble which kept them (as well as many of their close friends and superheroic allies) in a state of suspended animation for over twenty years. Unfortunately for Sivana, Sivana, Jr. unwittingly trapped the Sivana Family within the same stasis bubble when he slaps his father on the back too hard, jamming the controls. Thus… for 20 years, they were trapped in stabilized orbit around the Earth, after which time Captain Marvel finds himself paralyzed, but awake, and calls SHAZAM to become Billy once more. Billy is able to slip through the hole and calls SHAZAM again to become Captain Marvel, finding the Suspendium has weakened over time and, if he doesn’t shove it to safety in time, everyone aboard will die! Mary Marvel and Captain Marvel, Jr. are the first to be rescued, and the revived Marvel Family push the Suspendium Globe back to Earth, then break it open.
Captain Marvel finds it hard to believe and discovers that the Sivana Family have disappeared and the younger members of the Marvel Family have gone to search for them in space. Captain Marvel instead looks for them at an old hideout of theirs in the mountains. Within, the Sivana Family mention how they hired the goons to steal electrical parts as Dr. Sivana says that he doesn’t need so many parts unless he wants his “Death Projector” to be 100% efficient and can still easily kill most of the population of Earth! Captain Marvel suddenly flies in, destroying the Death Projector and drags them all to jail, saying they won’t get a suspended sentence. Despite all that… he still notes it’s great that they’re alive again and the Sivana Family and Captain Marvel, for once, agree on that much.

Synopsis for Captain Marvel: "Capt. Marvel and the Endless String!"
This story is reprinted from Captain Marvel Adventures #55.
Billy watches an old man collecting old bits of tinfoil and string to try to eke out a living. Strangely, the old man starts reeling in a string that seems to have no end. Because the string goes through a hole in the middle of the park that leads to another world, and is tied to the local king's prize carpet. Captain Marvel brings back a scientist to help him study this bizarre phenomenon, but is distracted when the old men gets caught and dragged through the hole. Cap's too big to fit through, but changes back to Billy and crawls through to retrieve the old transient. Both of them get arrested by the royal guards for unraveling the king's prize carpet.
Fortunately, the penalty for thievery is to have their tongues burned off with a red-hot brand, meaning they pull Billy's gag down to let him say his magic word and transform again. After Marvel easily fights his way through the castle guards and back to Earth, he throws the string through the hole so nobody will accidentally find it again.
