Scott McDaniel (b. 1965) is a writer.
Professional History
Scott McDaniel is an American comic book artist. He began his career in 1989 doing small drawings for Marvel Comics on their title The Spectacular Spider-Man; and later on titles as Daredevil and Ghost Rider. His first work for DC Comics was Deathstroke the Hunted #0. He is best known for his work on titles as Batman (Volume 1), Nightwing (Volume 1), and Green Arrow (Volume 2).
Personal History
McDaniel was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He graduated from the Penn Hills Senior High School in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. Later he attended Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania in order to became a surgeon. He dropped that because of the chemistry. He took his BS in electrical engineering and went to work with the Kearfott Division of the Singer Company. He worked as an electrical engineer with the Loftus Division of the Eichleay Corporation. During the nights he would continue to improve his drawing skills. With help of a friend he got the attention from Marvel and then he started his career in comics and quit his job as engineer. He is married to his high school girlfriend Amy and they have one son, Alex. McDaniel currently lives in Pittsburgh.
