Phase

Phase is a member of L.E.G.I.O.N. born on Bgztl with the ability to become intangible and phase through objects. There are two different stories explaining her origins, because she is linked to the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 30th Century. In the original timeline she is an amnesiac Phantom Girl, who was displaced in time by the Time Trapper. This changed when the Legion's future was altered during Zero Hour. In this new timeline, Phantom Girl is Apparition and was never displaced in time. It is explained that she is part-Carggite, with the ability to duplicate her body, and Phase is her other self. Phase was created by Keith Giffen, Alan Grant, and Barry Kitson, first appearing in L.E.G.I.O.N. #9. (1989)
