Michael Rooker (b. April 6, 1955) is an American actor who often portrays antagonists. He is a frequent collaborator of James Gunn, portraying Savant in The Suicide Squad and voicing Sam Fitzgibbon on Creature Commandos.

Michael Rooker is an American character actor who typically portrays antagonists. He first gained attention for playing the title character in Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, and is best known for playing Merle Dixon on The Walking Dead and Yondu Udonta in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, as well as The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
Rooker is a frequent collaborator of Gunn's, and has appeared in all his films to date, beginning with Slither. He appeared as Savant in The Suicide Squad, Sam Fitzgibbon on Creature Commandos, and Superman Robot #5 in Gunn's upcoming film Superman.
