Kalandro (New Earth)

Kalandro was the High Priest of the Atlantean lore speakers, who was eager to use the deification of his people's legends to conquer the surface world.

A religious zealot and societal fundamentalist whom often overblew the import of ancient cultural figures. Kalandro is the Atlantean council's Priest who adheres to mythical forbearers written within the Atlantis Chronicles as holy subjects, always pushing for the deification of the likes of Shalako by building temples in his honor.

When the news of Prince Uri's passing had reached the Atlantis proper, Kalandro was the only individual to be jubilant of such unfortunate tidings. For to him it was an excuse to pursue mistakes of the past and to further his own faith based clout.

The priest held general contempt of the surface world due to the belief of how his ancestors failures to suppress them in the early age before it became a threat to those living in the sea below is the end result of the kingdoms favored son's demise. Voicing how the gods had admonished them for their inability to waylay the land walkers enabled the turning of their home into a dumping ground by striking their current monarch with infertility, due to King Trevis being unable to produce heirs.

Initially the cleric would offer blessings to the newborn Prince Orin as per his duties as a holy man. But his paranoid fascist delusions got the better of him when he was revealed to bear the "Curse of Kordax".

Going into a rambling tirade, Kalandro demanded the sacrificing of such an infant to appease his fanatic devotion to the gods. Vulko took great offense when the insane trothing caused the former to lunge at the next in line to the national throne. Threatening to decapitate his deranged colleague should he lay so much as a finger on the poor babes head.

Kalandro would show his true colors by the time Trevis committed suicide after making the decision to keep young Orin's birth a secret so as to dispose of him under ambiguous means. The final straw which would spur the cruel bishop's Reactionary Revolt against the now leaderless crown, would come from rumors spread about the aforementioned suppression of the Kordax spawn's existence. Leading a war of forceful change where opposing factions were either removed from office, incarcerated or outright banished from Proseidonis altogether. Queen Atlanna would eventually be imprisoned but not before depositing the Atlantis Chronicles within the kingdom's sacred vault for safe keeping.[1]
