During the Cold War, the tropical Pacific island nation of Jinnestan was taken over by a dictator, Tarya, with the backing of two world powers, and immediately attacked the neighboring kingdom of Khartoor. This invasion was reversed, and the dictatorship deposed, by the intervention of the world-famous Blackhawk Squadron.
History
In the early 1950s, an evil seductress backed by two world powers, calling herself Tarya, deposed and imprisoned the old national leader, Gandor Ras, and became the new ruler of Jinnestan. She then ordered her air force to conduct bombing raids against the civilian population of neighboring Khartoor. An impenetrable jungle, between the two nations, precluded a land invasion, but the air raids were devastating. The new king of Khartoor, son of an old friend of the world-famous Blackhawks, called on them for help, and they soon arrived. The Jinnestani Air Force's propeller-driven bombers were no match at all for the Blackhawks' F-90B fighters, and several were destroyed before the survivors fled. Pursuing them into Jinnestani airspace, Blackhawk's own jet was shot down by ground fire, and he was captured. His interview with Tarya went badly; Blackhawk was shot in the shoulder and imprisoned. While in this prison, for several days, Blackhawk tunneled out of his own cell, found Gandor Ras, freed him, and they escaped into the capital city of Jinnestan.
This happened during a bombing raid conducted against that city, by Blackhawk's pilots, in two captured Jinnestani bombers. Blackhawk and Gandor spotted Tarya and her chief of staff fleeing on foot; Blackhawk duked it out with the military man; Gandor Ras tried to capture Tarya. She had a stilleto, but no skill, and got stabbed with it herself. She was captured alive, along with her top stooges, and the people of Jinnestan soon rallied around their old national leader, Gandor Ras, who vowed to reestablish his old government, and immediately end the war with Khartoor.

Notes
Jinnestan is adjacent to Khartoor, which looks like Indonesia, and is located "not far from the Blackhawk Island base". This location is consistent with Blackhawk Island being in the Pacific Ocean, post-WWII.
