Jim Wroten was a letterer during the Golden Age. Jim and his wife Margaret used a technique called Leroy lettering.
Professional History
Wroten had previously been a salesman for the Leroy pen, a system that used a pantograph and stencils. In 1945, Wroten and his wife joined William Moulton Marston's studios and worked Wonder Woman (Volume 1). The couple later set up Wroten Lettering, a studio that worked extensively for EC Comics. Several other family members were also part of the firm.
