History
Obsidian Age
Jarhanpur has existed for at least 3,000 years, constituted as an absolute monarchy for that entire time. Rama Khan is the hereditary title of the ruler. This country is said by its inhabitants to be a "Living Land".
During the Obsidian Age, the Rama Khan of that time traveled from Jarhanpur to Atlantis, where he became the joint ruler of Atlantis, sharing the post with Gamemnae. But Gamemnae had manipulated Rama Khan, as part of her larger, more elaborate plan, to conquer the world for Atlantis. Rama Khan became the first victim to have his soul and his metahuman powers absorbed by Gamemnae, who became a menace to the entire world.
21st Century
By the 21st century, a successor carried the title of Rama Khan, and became an elemental defender of Jarhanpur. This ruler found himself in conflict with the Justice League, where he surprised everyone by breaking Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth, which resulted in reality unraveling.[1] Jarhanpur's nature as a "Living Land" protected it from this chaos. After a violent struggle, Jarhanpur itself helped Wonder Woman to repair the Lasso, restoring reality, and undoing the initial damage. The land itself then went on, to reject Rama Khan, declaring that he was now focused more on preserving his position than the wishes of the land.[2]
