Infernus (New Earth)

Infernus was a minion of Darkseid.

History

Darkseid became aware of a powerful sword that was about to land in Metron hands, and sent his minion Infernus to fetch it. Infernus overtook Fastbak, but the Genesisian managed to open a Boom Tube and send the sword to Earth.

Later, Infernus tracked down the sword to John Hedley's apartment, a human who found the sword and gained the power of the Old Gods,but the sword was not there, as it was already reclaimed by Highfather and taken to New Genesis. Fearing to report failure to Darkseid, because that would mean death, he attacked Hedley. Orion showed up and defeated Infernus, yelling at him for daring to use his god powers against a mortal.
