A University Professor excavates a site in the East African province of Olduvai Gorge. Professor Abel is attempting to uncover a prehistoric species of ancient man, a cross between Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon. The African heat overwhelms the elderly professor and he collapses. His colleagues urge him to halt the search but the professor is determined to make his big discovery. At one point the professor leaves his tent to resume his excavation and he seems to see a vision of a prehistoric man emerge from the rocks. The vision appears briefly but quickly disappears. The professor cries out for help and gets the attention of his colleagues who come rushing over. When the other assistants arrive they find that the professor has disappeared but they do find the body of a prehistoric figure at the bottom of the gorge. The body does not appear fossilized but rather fresh as if it had died recently. It seems that the professors body had been inhabited by the prehistoric ghost figure from the past.

Synopsis for "The Ghost Nobody Knew"

A crime boss named Alvin Alton is murdered aboard his yacht and the killer escapes using a small boat. The murder took place on a yacht called the “Viking” in 1953. It is then sold to a new owner who begins to see the specter of the murdered victim haunting the yacht. Witnesses speculate that the ghost is seeking revenge for his murder. Subsequent owners of the yacht experience the same terrifying visions of the ghost that haunts the Viking until 1960 when the vessel finally ends up rotting in drydock. The Yacht is then purchased by two business partners who have heard of its haunted reputation. Lenny Kline and Paul Lambert fix up the vessel with the intention of spending the night on it to gain publicity for their cruise line venture. Unbeknownst to Paul, Lenny plans to murder his partner to gain sole control of their agency. He plans to throw Paul overboard and blame his disappearance on the ghost. As Lenny is about to shoot, the real ghost appears. The specter proclaims that he is not the ghost of Alvin Alton but rather the ghost of Alton's killer. The killer had attempted to escape the yacht on boat but somehow winds up drowning after his heinous deed. His spirit had remained earthbound until he made amends for his crime. Lenny panics and begins shooting at the ghost but he falls down from the upper deck and snaps his neck. The ghost is then free to go off to his eternal rest now that he has made amends for his crime. Paul Lambert then sails the yacht back to port to report the incident to authorities. They ask him if he had seen any ghosts and Lambert replies that the yacht in no longer haunted.
