Gen 12 was an experimental projected developed by I.O.. They are the 12th generation of the Genesis project. Their purpose was to develop superhumans through exposure to the Gen-Factor. The group selected was a military unit known as Team 7, who were elite black ops commandos at the time. Miles Craven and Gabriel Newman oversaw the project. Their progeny become the teams Gen 13 and DV8.
