History

In the 1970s, during the Cold War, Gardevia was a tiny neutral principality, on the western border of the Eastern Bloc. It became a de facto military resort for foreign military personnel, until one day, a Soviet prefect was found fatally poisoned in Gardevia. On that pretext, the Red Army overran the country, and immediately shot every civilian in sight. One young girl escaped, and over the following years, slit the throats of many occupying Soviet soldiers.
