Faces of Evil was a January, 2009 event involving specific issues highlighting the villains of the DC Universe, the only connecting theme being the cover art. Faces of Evil issues showcase villains who will be particularly influential to various different series throughout the year of 2009. While it was thematically connected to the "Day Evil Won" concept of Final Crisis, Faces of Evil had no actual connection to any external plotlines, and many issues were part of currently ongoing stories in the comics they featured in. There were also four standalone one-shot issues.
