Earth Omega is one of two Multiversal centers, along with the so-called Elseworld, that were born after The Hands restored the Multiverse inside the Infinite Frontier.[1] It is actually a fragment of the Great Darkness, dormant since the First Crisis.[2]
History
Origin
After The Hands of the Greater Omniverse restored the entire Creation, the primary Multiverse was also brought back inside a web of multiverses known as Infinite Frontier. Earth Omega, as it was defined by the Flash, was born as an obscure, unreachable reality in the new configuration of the Multiverse and had replaced, along with an alpha world referred to as the Elseworld, Earth 0 as the new center of the Multiverse.[1]
Just after the rebirth of the Multiverse, the Quintessence of Earth 0 imprisoned Darkseid on Earth Omega to preserve all the creation from his darkness. Some time later, after Wonder Woman refused to join its ranks, the Quintessence returned to Earth Omega to check on the prison they had previously created: however, they were previously tricked by Darkseid, who had been merged with his past selves in the latest cosmic upheaval, who ambushed them and seemingly murdered them all. He then established himself on Earth Omega, planning to use its energy to conquer the Multiverse.[3]
