Darkstars (Volume 1) with a cover date of December, 1994.
Synopsis for "The Ashes of Victory"
Starfire comes to the Darkstars office looking for Donna, but her deputies see her as a threat until Donna arrives to cool things off. Kory explains that she's planning to return to Tamaran and asks Donna if they have a means of transportation to offer her. Starfire's new empathic powers cause her to offend Carla, who is still sensitive about Ferrin Colos' death. Their chat gets interrupted by reports of an assault on a printing plant. Upon arrival, the Darkstars fight a group of metahumans and an army of armored soldiers, until the owners of the "printing plant" decide to show up: the Syndicate, with massive robots ready to attack the intruders.
Meanwhile, John Stewart discusses with the Controller about his new position as director of the Darkstars, replacing Jeddigar after his and Ferrin Colos' apparent deaths.
However, Jeddigar and Colos are still alive in another dimension, where an evil version of the Darkstars captures Ferrin Colos. Ferrin wakes up in a holding cell, where he meets an alternate version of Jeddigar.
