Dan DeCarlo

Dan DeCarlo (b. December 12, 1919 – d.December 18, 2001) was a comic book artist.

Professional History

Throughout his lifetime DeCarlo worked primarily for Archie Comics, and was most famous for codifying the "classic" designs of Archie Andrews and many of his supporting cast (even being recognized as the official co-creator for a few, such as Sabrina the Teenage Witch). Among the many admirers of his craftsmanship was Bruce Timm, who eventually secured a collaboration on the Batman Adventures story "24 Hours."[1]
