Synopsis for "Baptized in Fire"
Cameron Chase relocates from California to New York City to begin her first day as an agent for the Department of Extranormal Operations. She meets field commander Sandy Barrett who immediately assigns her to a case in Daily, Ohio.
In Daily, a junior high student named Jerry Harris demonstrates pyrokinetic ability during class. He accidentally burns classmate and tormentor Chad Flint. Terrified by what he has done, Jerry runs away from the school.
The DEO arrive and Cameron tracks the boy down. Although harboring a strong distaste for Metahumans, she demonstrates her own strange abilities as she projects a wave of energy that seems to cancel out Jerry's powers. The DEO takes him in and promises to train him in the use of his abilities.
