Brass is a hero in the Wildstorm Universe. He is a giant weaponized fighting robot with the soul of a young man named Hershel. Prior to his transformation, Hershel was a New York City janitor struggling with cancer. While running from the police, he discovered an I.O. facility abandoned by Miles Craven. This exposed him to a secret experiment that put his soul into a robot body. Brass was created by Richard Bennett and Jim Lee, first appearing in the Image Comics publication Brass #1. (1996)
