Boclavia was a traditional hereditary monarchy in the Near East.
History
In the early 1950s, the tiny nation was on friendly terms with the United States, and the king, Harrup II, made a state visit in 1951. The king's sudden infatuation with American journalist Lois Lane caused some awkward complications, as in pursuit of a good story, Miss Lane exploited this situation in ways that were just barely ethical.
