Bellatrix is an arid dry planet located in Green Lantern Sector 1414.
History
It is the home of the Blood-Sisters and the birth place of famed Green Lantern Corps member Boodikka. Boodikka and her fellow Blood-Sisters held to a strong sense of justice, and they viciously defended their world against intergalactic raiders and pirates. As time went on, Boodikka felt that the Blood-Sisters had become too mercenary in their tactics, and had lost their thirst for true justice. It was at this time that Boodikka was recruited to join the Green Lantern Corps. The Blood-Sisters felt betrayed by this decision and one in particular, Zale, warned Boodikka that she could never again return to the planet of her birth. Boodikka did eventually return however, years later. She came to Bellatrix on a mission as a member of the newly commissioned Alpha Lantern Corps.[1]
