Angel Love #8 is an issue of the series Angel Love (Volume 1) with a cover date of March, 1987.

Synopsis for "I Know it's You, Mary Beth"

After being ejected from Maureen McMeal's campaign office and yelling at her from outside about their mother, Angel Love returns home with her next door neighbor Everett, trying to convince him that Maureen is her sister Mary Beth, but unfortunately Everett doesn't buy it. She goes to work, hopefully trying to forget her disappointment and the possibility that Maureen could be Mary Beth when she runs into her again, causing her to flee when Angel tries again to get her sister to recognize her. She ends up turning to her fairy godmother character Halo for any possible help that she could give in getting Mary Beth to acknowledge Angel, and Halo attempts to use her powers to get Mary Beth to call her sister. Soon the telephone rings, and Angel picks it up, thinking it's Mary Beth, but instead it turns out to be Doctor Chin, who tells her that her mother's condition is getting worse. Out of desperation, Angel gets Everett to drive her to Maureen McMeal's apartment building, where she sneaks in wearing a ski mask and points a gun at her head, warning her to wake up.

(The story concludes in Angel Love Special #1.)
