Abin Sur (DCAU)

Abin Sur was the previous Green Lantern of Sector 2814.

History

Abin Sur was a member of the Green Lantern Corps, and responsible for the sector containing Earth. His ship was badly damaged while fleeing a dangerous enemy, and crash-landed just outside Metropolis, severely wounding the Lantern. In his dying moments, he sent his Ring to seek a replacement - Kyle Rayner being selected as Abin Sur's successor. Sinestro was hot on Abin Sur's heels, hoping to obtain his Power Battery, but he found only Superman at the site of the crash.^[1]
