Hoops, released as Hoops '96 in Europe and Dunk Dream '95 (ダンクドリーム'95) in Japan, is a street basketball game released by Data East in 1995 for arcades, running on their Data East MLC System arcade board.
Gameplay
Hoops plays much like its predecessor, Street Hoop. The main additions are a third button which allows the player to choose which player will receive the ball during a pass or to select which player is being controlled when in the defense, as well as a new Super Defense maneuver, which allows a defending team to block a Super Dunk executed by the attacking team. The game features twelve different teams based on various countries, two more than its predecessor.
