The Crucible was a forge located in the center of Stone-in-the-Wood. Traditionally, Stonewood warriors would cast their blades into the Crucible after battle to be melted down,[1] in the hope that they would never be needed again.[2]
After the Arathim Wars, Ordon hid a portion of the Dual Glaive within the Crucible, where it remained intact for 30 trine. Once Rian reformed the Glaive, the Crucible emitted the first of the fires of resistance, which he used to spread the truth of the Skeksis' true nature.[2]
