Summary
Nagi learns that Erika will be arriving at the their home in order to get familiar with Nagi who is engaged to her. Despite Nagi's vehement refusal to accept this engagement, Yohei takes it as a sign of rebellion, but Namie believes there's more to the refusal than meets the eye. A flashback involving his encounter Hiro, shows that he has feelings for her, but sheepishly, Nagi denies there is no other motive. So Namie enforces that Erika should come to visit, but Nagi still refuses as he has studying to do, but Namie reveals that it wasn't her idea, but Erika's. Both Nagi's parents then leave Nagi, who then has an epiphany that Erika was in fact fully intent on marrying him. As Nagi prepares himself to politely reject her engagement proposal, he's met by Sachi who overheard that Erika is coming over there. Nagi confirms it and Sachi notes her opinion that it won't work out between them due to the financial gap and the prestigious background she comes from. However, Nagi notes that it doesn't matter and that Erika is her older sister. This makes Sachi throw a minor tantrum at Nagi and leaves him alone.
An hour past the time Erika was supposed to arrive passed by and Nagi just finished vacuuming his side of the room. When Nagi goes outside to check if she's arrived, Nagi finds Erika squatting just outside of his apartment door. Erika pouts and claims that he's late and Nagi retorts that she could have rung the doorbell. Hearing that surprises Erika and notices that he's all alone there, to which, Nagi notes his family is all at work at the moment. Being polite, Nagi allows Erika inside and offers her a seat, to which, Erika sits on the shelf of a bookshelf. This shocks Nagi who said that she could sit on the floor and then asks for her to take off her shoes. After serving some drinks for them, Nagi internally thinks that it's a bad time to bring up the engagement talks and Erika asks if she can get a tour of the house. To that, Nagi says that she can look around herself leaving Erika astonished that his home wasn't a tool shed. Hence, Nagi gives Erika a "tour" of his home and Erika looks around in a curious manner. When the tour is finished, Nagi had hoped to talk about the engagement, but instead, Erika wanted to ask him something.
As it turns out, Erika wanted to show Nagi her own house, and he's left astonished by the place and all that it has to offer. Reflecting on how life would have been considerably different had they not been switched at birth, Nagi thinks of how their attitudes would have been different. Approaching the open gazebo where Erika sat and drank some tea, Nagi is told by Erika that she refuses to go through with the engagement noting that she wants to choose the person she'll marry. Nagi asks why Erika wanted to visit his home and she claims that it's because she wanted to talk to his parents to call off the engagement. Learning that his parents are restaurant owners, Erika requests that she be taken there to give them a piece of her mind.
That evening, at the Monshiro-Cho Shopping District, the two visit the Umino Family Diner. Minutes after they enter, Erika causes a scene with Nagi's parents, however, this was a delusion that Nagi concocted. Asking for the restroom, Nagi directs her to where it is and thinks that he must avoid a physical confrontation between his parents and her. Eventually, they're severed the house special Ginger Pork. Although Erika looks like she'd not like it, she tries it and claims that it's delicious. Namie then comments that Erika resembles Sachi a lot and Yohei confirms it. The two then start to get on Erika's nerves, which Nagi becomes anxious over, but Erika gets up and abruptly leaves. Nagi chases after her until she stops by a bridge to tearfully confess that she wanted to get closer to them. She also confesses that she was so flustered by how kind they were to her and goes on to admit what would happen if they considered her a bother. However, Nagi informs her that, his parents won't judge her and offers her to return to the diner with him. When they return there, Namie hugs Erika and they're served more food for dinner.
Eventually, Nagi at Erika's behest walks her home and she thanks Nagi for the wonderful day. She then asks him what Nagi was trying to tell him the entire day, but Nagi doesn't have the nerve to admit what he wanted to say and wonders why it was so hard to tell her. At that moment, Souichirou arrives at the scene in his car being driven by his chauffeur. He was glad to hear Erika had a good time at Nagi's, he then asks how their relationship is coming along. Flustered by the question, they claim that they weren't really dating, but Souichirou was fully aware that they weren't, however, considers it the budding start of their personal relationship. They're then driven to a house where the two of them will live for the next two weeks.
