Hunter is a fast, powerful cheetah from the Spyro the Dragon series, who speaks with a surfer dude accent and helps Spyro on many adventures. He is often equipped with a bow and arrow and is known to be a champion of the Speedway levels.
History with the Crash Bandicoot series
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled
Hunter makes his first true appearance in the Crash series in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, as one of the three characters added during the Spyro N. Friends Grand Prix, alongside Spyro himself and Gnasty Gnorc. Hunter can be purchased in the Pit Stop for 1500 Wumpa Coins.

Other appearances
Hunter's first appearance in the Crash series is as a cameo in Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage. While he has a slightly larger role in Purple's sister game in the Spyro series, Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy, appearing in a few cutscenes, he appears within Purple as an NPC in the hub world Fire Mountains, where he warns Crash about Flame Thrower Lab Assistants up ahead. He can also appear obtaining his trading card in Orange and trading it over to Purple via link cable.
While Hunter himself did not appear in Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!, a Hunter themed skin for Crash was added in Season 3: Battle of the Dragons.
Hunter does not appear in-person in Crash Team Rumble, but is referenced in the Gatherer skin for Ripper Roo, which is themed after him. He also has a small cameo, appearing on the The Gang's All Here banner alongside several other Spyro characters.
Characteristics
Physical description
Hunter is a tall, lanky anthropomorphic cheetah. He has sandy coloured fur with an off-white belly and muzzle, as well as brown cheetah spots on his back, arms, legs and tail. He has a large, triangular dark brown nose, heavy-lidded medium blue eyes with thick dark brown eyebrows, three thin tufts of fur on top of his head and white claws. He usually has a quiver filled with arrows around his torso, and is often seen either carrying his longbow or with it affixed to the back of his quiver. He also has a thick, dark grey armband around his left forearm, as well as a thin one on his right upper arm.
Personality
Hunter is an easygoing, friendly, and somewhat naïve character. He's very physically skilled, having hobbies such as archery, skateboarding and scuba diving. He's a loyal friend to Spyro, often helping him out on his adventures. As his name implies, he's a talented archer, and he enjoys exploring new places. He isn't highly intelligent, and can be quite gullible and forgetful at times. He can also be quite cowardly, shown in many of his animations in Nitro-Fueled.
