A Pistol is a type of firearm used in the Contra series.
Description
A handheld firearm carried by many. Despite multiple appearances, not many titles feature a firearm as a weapon available to players. For gameplay purposes, the small firearm is usually overshadowed by the commonly used Rifle or Machine Gun due to its larger power.

Pistols are usable by the Contra Force and can be upgraded into better weaponry.
Neo Contra
Bill uses a Pistol during the opening cutscene but not in actual gameplay.
Trivia
- A Pistol-like weapon named the "handgun" can be found and used in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow and as with the Contra series, that handgun possesses infinite ammunition.
