The Beast Shooter (Beast Shot in Japan) is a weapon from Contra: Hard Corps.
Description
An exclusive weapon for Brad Fang. When a Weapon A wing is obtained, Fang's default Machine Gun upgrades into a menacing gatling-gun style blaster. The bullets fired grow large and bright yellow to white, covering a large range in front of him. The more distance he is away, the farther the bullets spread out and expand. Like the Machine Gun, the Beast Shooter possesses continuous firing capabilities. The weapon's behavior and appearance fit in line with Fang's gatling-gun arm.
While powerful, the weapon has minor drawbacks. Its large bullet size can make it harder to see some smaller enemy bullets, which can easily pierce through the Beast Shooter's own bullets to strike at Fang directly, causing him to lose the weapon entirely. The bullet's strength is slightly weaker than normal, though this is rectified by distance. If Fang can approach close enough to an enemy, he can easily decimate them with the Beast Shooter as they take the full force of continuous bullet fire.
During development, the weapon was named Heavy Vulcan.
