Duskania is by far the most dry and desolate region on Kaile (Not including the Haram Desert). Unlike most dry regions, Duskania isn't covered by dunes of sand but is instead a flat plain. A result of ancient Goblin over mining, Duskania lies more that 150 feet below sea level yet remains parched due to lack of rain. This region tends to be split into three regions: The Rim, The Central Flatlands and The Great barrier.
The Rim:
The Rim is the area bordering the cliffs that separate this desert land from its northern neighbors. This area is highly significant to The Duskan as it remains one of the few areas with actual animal and plant life. Many small springs burst from the cliffs to land in small pools; sacred to those living there. Tough grasses, olive trees, cacti and some stubborn bushes live among the rocks and boulders of the "less desolate" area.
The Central Flatlands:
As the name clearly states, the Central Flatlands are the center of Duskania and surprisingly the hub of almost all commerce and trade in this region. This area is a flat, barren waste, home only to dust storms and skeletal trees. Despite its unwelcoming nature The Haram Empire erected the city of Yulan here, and it now serves as a base and meeting ground for the normally nomadic populace.
The Great Barrier:
Far to the south of Yulan and the Central flatlands lies an imposing barrier of jagged and split rock. It is believed that this area was less mined and so the collapse here was not so final, leaving tall jagged rocks and boulders as high as or higher than the cliffs. None have gone farther south than this, though some tall tales speak of civilizations and people beyond.
