Sega Corporation is an international video game software developer company. Its headquarters are located in in Ōta, Tokyo, Japan. Founded in 1940, the company formerly use to develop video game consoles and games, however in 2002, the company stopped the manufacturing of consoles and now currently only develops and publishes third party games.

It was founded as Standard Games,[1] but later changed its name to SErvice GAmes, which is where the name "Sega" comes from. Sega is most known for making the Sonic the Hedgehog games. Sega became the publisher of The Conduit after settling a deal with High Voltage Software[2], and later published Conduit 2 as well.
