Tuzun Thune was a Valusian wizard of the Elder Race during the reign of Kull. He lived on the shore of the Lake of Visions in a palace known as the House of a Thousand Mirrors. Tuzun conspired with Kaanuub, Baron of Blaal, to destroy Kull in return for wealth and power. Inside his palace was a great chamber with walls and ceiling made entirely of mirrors. Tuzun attempted to capture and imprison Kull's soul by persuading him to gaze into these magical mirrors over a period of several days. He gradually ensnared the king's mind with eldritch visions of the past and the future and even deeper mysteries until Kull could no longer distinguish between reality and illusion. Kull was saved at the last minute when Brule learned of the plot against him and killed Tuzun Thune.[1]
