Grogar was a Pictish warrior in the retinue of Brule the Spear-slayer. He mysteriously disappeared through a secret doorway in a palace belonging to Kull in the Valusian city of Kamula. Kull and Brule were about to investigate his disappearance, but the story chronicling these events was left unfinished by the author Robert E. Howard. Grogar's disappearance was accompanied by a "foul stench and a frightful scream". The room where Grogar disappeared was built against the central hill of Kamula, and he was presumably taken by an unknown abductor somewhere into the depths of the hill. The only other clue was the faint sound of music, a distant ghostly piping, from the darkness beyond the secret doorway.[1]
