Conan
Lancer/Ace series: 1977, 1984
In 1977, after Lancer went out of business, Ace published the last book in the planned Lancer series:
- Conan of Aquilonia (novel) • L. Sprague de Camp and Lin Carter • 1977
Hence, this series is often called the Lancer/Ace series; a full list of titles is set out in the Lancer article.
Ace republished the entire series in 1984, with reprints over the following years.
Ace Maroto series: 1978-1981
Ace published a short series of new pastiches by Andrew J. Offutt and old Howard/de Camp collaborations, all illustrated by Esteban Maroto: hence, this is generally known as the Ace Maroto series. The Offutt pastiches, in combination with his Conan: The Sword of Skelos from the Bantam series, form a linked trilogy.
- Conan and the Sorceror (novel) • Andrew J. Offutt • October 1978
- Conan: The Treasure of Tranicos (novella) • Robert E. Howard and L. Sprague de Camp • July 1980
- Conan the Mercenary (novel) • Andrew J. Offutt • January 1981
- Conan: The Flame Knife (novel) • Robert E. Howard and L. Sprague de Camp • July 1981
Age of Conan: 2005 onwards
Ace began publishing the Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures series of books in 2005.
Red Sonja
Red Sonja appeared in several novels by David C. Smith and Richard L. Tierney, with covers by Boris Vallejo.
