Kayla is Skye's frenemy. Kayla and Skye have a rocky friendship and a competitive relationship. However, when Kayla becomes trapped under snow while attempting to snowboard down Tyson's Peak, Skye is worried about her. When it is shown that Kayla's okay, Skye shows a wide smile.
