Hornsby is an imaginary character Clarence made for himself in the episode "Honk".

Hornsby was first used in "Honk", where Clarence starts using Hornsby to "make friends". This fails miserably and even makes Clarence contemplate flushing Hornsby. Hornsby is saved when the kids try to annoy Clarence, only for him to turn it into a symphony.

In "Patients", he returned as an imaginary friend in Clarence's imagination and helped when he was in the waiting room.

Trivia

• Possible reference to Bruce Hornsby, singer as well as keyboardist for "The Grateful Dead." Other musical references have been made in the series, such as the Talking Heads reference in "Dollar Hunt"
• His voice sounds similar to SpongeBob SquarePants.
