Ghetz was a wrestler that practiced on mainland Zenan around the time that Greco wrestled. In an unknown incident, Ghetz gave his life to save Greco, teaching him an important lesson at the same time. This changed Greco; he became a spiritualist and moved to El Nido, and took care of Ghetz's sister Romana. Ghetz's spirit later appeared to Greco to teach him his ultimate technique: GraveDigger.
Ghetz's Shirt is an armour that cannot be obtained in the game without the help of a save-state editor or Gameshark code. Contrary to legend, Wraiths do not drop it.
Ghetz is named after saxophonist Stan Getz, to pair with Greco's Japanese game Gilbert, given Getz famously recorded with João Gilberto.
