Gump is a roaming resident of My City that begins driving in laps in front of the school that Ryoji ends up building once he moves in. He talks about how driving is fun and how he is not driving laps because the teacher of the school had made him do it as punishment. Gump explains that he is too old to go to school anymore as he is already 36 years old. He has already driven over 20,000 lapsin front of the school and suggests the protagonist to join him.

Gump is one of the many recruitable teammates available in My City. In order for him to become recruitable, Stamp 40 must be completed which requires the Garage to be built in My City and is a mandatory requirement to start recruiting residents there. Ryoji must also be recruited to My City as well which will make Gump appear. Then, Gump must be beaten within one of the races he appears in. Afterwards, Gump will become recruitable to the team.

Trivia

The name "Gump" and his activity of constant driving could be a reference to the movie, Forrest Gump in which the character goes running across the United States.
