Sarpedon was a Celerity Demon who captured Guardian Angels to help him survive the pending threat of the Avatars.
History
Sarpedon was able to see the Guardian Angels due to his lightning speed and was able to capture them with the use of a magical amulet. The guardians sucked into the amulet and allowed Sarpedon to hear their whispers advising him what to do.
Sarpedon soon came across the Charmed Ones, while Paige and Agent Kyle Brody were investigating the mysterious phenomena surrounding how and why innocent people were surviving terrible accidents only to succumb to a tragic death shortly afterward. He then went from stealing innocents' guardians to going after those of the sisters, acquiring Paige's guardian. After killing his mentor, Aku, he went after Phoebe and Piper. However, this path eventually led to his demise by Piper who blew him up, but he actually managed to kill her and Phoebe. After which, Leo quickly realized that the only way to save his wife and sister-in-law was to become an Avatar in order to resurrect them.
