Izax was a mid-level demon in the canonical novel The War on Witches. He gathered the entire clan of descendants from Salem jurors and used their belief to make a faction of Witch Hunters. He was eventually vanquished by the Charmed Ones.
History
The demon gathered several descendants from the jurors of the Salem Witch Trials. He was known to be a true schemer, able to stay several steps ahead of his enemies in strategy, and was known for this throughout the Underworld. His recruits included Jacob Perly, Emily Fisk-Navarro, and Austin Herrick, the latter of which was the descendant of Matthew Tate—a warlock.
Izax had his recruits use magical tomes called Books of Light to steal the powers of witches. The books themselves are written in blood of warlocks. After attacking dozens of witches and obtaining their powers, Izax sent Austin after a young witch named Alysha. Austin disliked the idea and tried to save her. Izax used this opportunity to show his demonic form and attack the witch, forcing the young warlock to reveal his powers. After that, Izax grabbed Austin and brought him back to the abandoned church which was his team's headquarters and tried to drain his blood. The Charmed Ones were able to get to him in time and save him.
Izax, with help from Emily Fisk-Navarro, channeled the magic of all the witches' powers they stole from the books and nearly destroyed the Charmed Ones. However, Izax was using one of the books to protect him, and Piper destroyed it to disrupt the protection. Phoebe then vanquished him with a potion.
