Snow Devil

The Snow Devil (雪 (ゆき) の悪 (あく) 魔 (ま) , Yuki no Akuma^?) is a devil that embodies the fear of snow.

Appearance

The Snow Devil's body is puffy and white resembling clumps of snow. It has a pair of horns and bulbous eyes.

Personality

The Snow Devil's personality is currently unknown.

Plot

Aging Devil arc

At some point after breaking free from Public Safety's trap, Pochita proceeds to erase more Devils by consuming them as he continues to rampage through the city, including the Snow Devil.^[1] During their time trapped in the Aging's World, Asa tells Denji that he taught her to have something to live for despite not getting over the death of her mother. Denji then pukes out the head of the Snow Devil, which restores the concept of snow. Seeing snow again causes Denji to remember his winter boat ride to Hokkaido with Aki and Power.^[2]

Abilities

As a Devil, the Snow Devil possesses all of the standard devil abilities which includes bestowing contracts upon humans for a price.

Trivia

• The Snow Devil embodies Chionophobia (from Greek χῐών: "snow"), which, rather than an aversion or an irrational fear of snow, is rather the fear of becoming snowbound and the fear of being stranded in snow.
• The snow devil is a real phenomenon that occurs in nature, generated by snow rising from the ground in the form of a swirling column of variable height, small diameter and approximately vertical axis.
