Starbuddies or Star Buddies are small sentient stars that serve as minor characters and friends to the Care Bears. Starbuddies can be seen in many places throughout the series, and have helped the Bears in movies as well as the shows.
They appear to be related to Twinklets, and are often seen with Heartbuddies. They may have a connection to other "Buddy" species.

Starbuddies appear in The Big Star Round-Up. As the stars age, they must be taken to Big Star Point to go up into the sky and become real stars, (the main focus of The Big Star Round-Up) along with The Great Wishing Star before they fade away into non-existence.
The Care Bears Adventure in Wonderland
Two starbuddies appear in the opening of the film, "Rise and Shine." They are resting on a cloud when they are woken up by the rays of the rising sun. They fly over and knock on the shutters of Share Bear's home and she opens them happily. They then fly over and knock on those of Tenderheart Bear's home and open them when they get no response. He seems annoyed about being woken up.
