World War II

Sheppard was dropped into Normandy at the start of the invasion on June 6 and had secured a farmhouse six miles outside of Sainte-Mère-Église by 0815 that was then used as battalion headquarters with six soldiers to guard it from outside. After a small group from Baker Company, led by Cpt. Foley, captured Sainte-Mère-Église, Sgt. Moody, Pvt. Elder and Pvt. Martin were sent to battalion headquarters to report that they had taken the town. The trio struggled to get through enemy lines and even had to steal a car from the German's themselves while avoiding a tank but the trio managed to make it's way to Sheppard's headquarters. Moody then went in to give the capture information to Sheppard and got new order's. Reinforcements were sent to Sainte-Mère-Église while Moody, Elder and Martin were then assigned to take out an artillery battery at Brecourt Manor.
