Private Matrin was an American soldier who fought during World War II. He is featured in Call of Duty: United Offensive in the first level, he takes part in the defense of the line in the Battle of the Bastogne. In the combat, he is wounded and is seen being pulled out of the combat by Sergeant Sprogis. He and Sprogis get to a point where Sprogis stops when a mortar hits their location and both go missing in combat.
