Mrs. Carvin is the Bullworth Academy librarian. She was voiced by Patricia Kilgarriff.
Character description
Mrs. Carvin is a middle aged woman. Although not ugly like Mrs. Peabody, she takes no care to make herself attractive. She has black hair that she wears in a bun on top of her head and wears a lilac patterned shirt, a long plum skirt, and purple high heels. During the winter, she wears a longer-sleeved maroon shirt, a maroon skirt, and adds pantyhose to her legs. Her face is pinched and she does not wear makeup aside from what appears to be very heavy blush.
Characteristics
Most of Mrs. Carvin's personality revolves around books and the library, and she is very possessive towards both of them. Much of her dialogue revolves around books and reading. For example, one of her insults is to accuse someone of having never read a book. She is also old fashioned, speaks with very proper grammar, and expresses contempt towards modern society. School gossip holds that she deliberately refused to date during high school. She has a fear of rats, as seen during the mission Rats in the Library.
According to Mrs. McRae,[1] Mrs. Carvin suffers of low blood pressure, presumably because of her sedentary occupation.
Role in game
During the mission Rats in the Library, Mrs. Carvin can be seen standing on her chair, scared. She begs Jimmy to kill the rats. After he does, she offers to excuse him of all his overdue book fines.
She also appears in The Library in the mornings before the first class starts (between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.).
If Jimmy is inside the Girls' Dorm and causes enough trouble to get the trouble meter into the red, she will appear alongside Mrs. Peabody and Mrs. McRae.
