XXI was a Los Angeles clandestine demon fight club, created by brothers Darin and Jack MacNamara for the entertainment of the rich and powerful. At XXI, demons were imprisoned with a bracelet and forced to fight each other to the death with the promise of earning their freedom after twenty one victories.[1]
History
In 2000, Angel was lured into the club and became a slave of the XXI. However, he convinced the 20-time champion Val Trepkos to join forces with him against the club. Wesley and Cordelia created a key to open the bracelets, which Tom Cribb used to free his fellow prisoners that night. In the revolt, the demons killed Darin MacNamara and escaped to the streets.[1]
