Tucker Wells was a Sunnydale High School student and the older brother of Andrew Wells. In 1999, he trained hellhounds to attack his class' prom after a girl rejected going with him.[1]
Biography
Tucker Wells, the older brother of Andrew,[2] lived in Sunnydale. Judging by the state of the Wells residence, he may have been from a low socioeconomic class.[1]
In the graduation year of the Class of '99, Tucker invited a girl to go to prom with him, but she declined. For his revenge, Tucker trained four hellhounds to attack the prom, making them react violently to formal wear and party music by forcing the caged hellhounds to watch prom-related movies. He tested one of them at the formal clothing store April Fool, where the demon killed a boy trying out a tux.[1]
Before the prom, Tucker emailed his friend David Metz, saying: "The Sunnydale High lemmings have no idea what awaits them. Their big night will be their last night." The Scooby Gang discovered Tucker's plans, and Buffy Summers found him in the basement of his house. In their confrontation, Tucker broke a vase on her head and threatened the Slayer with a screwdriver. Unfazed, Buffy intended to tie Tucker up before he could release the caged hellhound, but he revealed the other three were already en route to the school. Buffy found the hellhounds and neutralized them before they could harm any student.[1]
Throughout the years, it was common that members of the Scooby Gang were completely unable to recall Andrew's name, referring to him instead on two instances as "Tucker's brother."[3][4] In 2003, before the battle at the Hellmouth, Andrew credited his brother Tucker as an inspiration for his own demon summoning exploits.[5]
