Herbert was the mascot pig for the Sunnydale Razorbacks for a brief time in 1997 after he was brought in by Principal Flutie.[1]
Buffy thought Herbert was cute, but Principal Flutie insisted he was a fierce razorback boar, having dressed him in a miniature football helmet and a spikey foam hide placed on his back. Shortly after his introduction, a group of transpossessed students ate Herbert alive and left only his bones.[1]
