The Fae were supernatural beings consisting of fairies, sprites, gnomes and other woodland creatures that resided in their own dimension separate from humans and some parts on earth. Fae folk were the polar opposites of demonkind; while demons were known for being evil and brutal, the fae were known for their inability to lie and judged only on character and not appearance. Rupert Giles spent some time in their domain via a portal.
Monarch acted as an official ambassador to the Fae for the Magic Council.
